Paste a transaction id, pick the amount, and we trace it both ways — back to where the coins came from and forward to where they went — using forensic FIFO taint, drawn as a graph with numbered, directional arrows. We detect CoinJoin mixing (Wasabi, Whirlpool, JoinMarket), address-poisoning bait, and any exchange, ransomware or OFAC-sanctioned wallet in the chain, then score the AML risk.
- Bidirectional FIFO taint trace, fully in-browser
- CoinJoin / mixer + address-poisoning detection
- Full OFAC + exchange labelling, AML score
Left of the source = where funds came from (provenance); right = where they went. Each arrow is one transfer, numbered in trace order; click any wallet or arrow to open it on mempool.space. A red diamond marks a CoinJoin/mixer where taint is deliberately broken.
Heuristic score for triage only — not legal or financial advice. Absence of a flag is not proof funds are clean.

How tracing works
We load the transaction's outputs so you choose exactly which output (amount) to follow, and how many hops to trace each way.
Backward we walk the inputs to the funding sources; forward we follow the spends, allocating taint by FIFO (first-in-first-out) so each satoshi is tracked precisely — not smeared across every output.
Every hop is screened for CoinJoin/mixer structure (Wasabi, Whirlpool, JoinMarket) — where taint legitimately breaks — and for address-poisoning look-alikes. Labeled exchange / sanctioned / illicit wallets end the branch.
An AML score is computed from the sanctioned, mixer, CoinJoin, poisoning and structural signals found along the whole path — both directions.
Disclaimer. This tool is for informational and educational triage only — it is not legal, financial, compliance or investigative advice. Tracing relies on heuristics and third-party data (mempool.space, public labels) that may be incomplete, outdated or wrong; the AML score is an indicator, not a verdict. Absence of a flag is not proof that funds are clean, and a flag is not proof of wrongdoing.
